★ short bio (for curators & submissions)

Lola Wilde is a Newark-based pop-rock artist with Portuguese roots and a sound that bridges the anthemic urgency of Kelly Clarkson with the dark edge of The Veronicas and Avril Lavigne.

Her music explores the emotional wreckage of growing up — love, identity, and the spaces between languages.

Produced by Mr. Carter, with lyrics by Ruben Santos.

✦ long bio (for press & features)

Lola Wilde grew up between two worlds — the packed hallways of a Newark high school and the quiet weight of a Portuguese home where music was always playing.

She started writing songs the way most people write in journals: to survive the noise. The heartbreaks, the friendships that fell apart, the nights that felt too big for one room.

Her sound lives somewhere between the anthems that defined a generation and the kind of song you only play alone at 2am. Raw enough to feel real. Polished enough to haunt you.

Produced by Mr. Carter. Words by Ruben Santos.

⚙ for tech & music industry press

Ruben Santos is a Portuguese creator and music producer who builds worlds. Under his production alias Mr. Carter, he crafts every sonic detail of the Lola Wilde project.

Inspired by how audiences connected with fictional acts like Gorillaz and the Huntrix from Kpop Demon Hunters, Ruben set out to create a fully realised pop-rock artist with a complete backstory, aesthetic, and music that stands entirely on its own. He uses AI as a creative instrument — not to replace authorship, but to give the character her voice.

Every lyric is personal. Every production choice is intentional. Lola Wilde is a fictional artist with very real feelings behind her.
